Mystic Poets Class Starts Summer 2022
 
Mystic Poets is an online interdisciplinary poetry, music, dance and fine art class featuring the poems of Hafiz, Kabir, Lalleshwari, Mirabai, Nanak, Rabia and Rumi whose work and lives have inspired millions around the world. These mystic poets often referred to playing music, singing, and dancing out of joy and universal love  The devotional practices of these poets were frequently expressed through music, song and dance as well as poetry. Many artistic images of these poets have been created in an effort to tell their stories and encourage the pursuit of knowing one's true self - to merge with the Love of the Infinite.

The Mystic Poets class will teach students about the lives, work, spiritual inspiration, and teachings of the mystic poets Hafiz, Kabir, Lalleshwari, Mirabai, Nanak, Rabia and Rumi as well as their effect on their respective communities and the world at large. Students will read and discuss these mystic poet's poetry, hear samples of the poetry set to music, and have an opportunity to participate in singing, dancing, and creating poetry, and art as has traditionally been used to express unconditional Love and devotion.

The Mystic Poets class is also offered as a Mystic Poets Class Concert which features live performances with original music compositions set to the Mystic Poets poems. Mystic Poets class materials include the Mystic Poets books and Mystic Poets CDs.
